"Our countries are neighbors, condemned to live alongside each other; they are separated, however, more by profound social, economic, and psychic differences than by physical and political frontiers. These differences are self-evident. We are two distinct versions of Western Civilization." -Octavio Paz
This summer study program provided many opportunities to create sketches throughout Southern and Northern Mexico, as well as Mexico City. Types of drawings ranged from quick, gestural sketches to accurately-proportioned plaza studies. Doors of Mexico were also visually recorded for building element cataloguing. Over 100 drawings were submitted for review at the end of three-months abroad.
